Website visitors

Like most website operators, Fine-art.education collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Fine-art.education’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Fine-art.education’s visitors use its website.

Gathering of personally-identifying information

Certain visitors to Fine-art.education’s websites choose to interact with Fine-art.education in ways that require Fine-art.education to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Fine-art.education gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, registered users submitting an application on Fine-art.education are are asked to enter name, address and phone number during the application process.

In each case, Fine-art.education collects such information only as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Fine-art.education. Fine-art.education does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

At Fine-art.education we are concerned with where and how our private information is being used. Therefore the visitors behaviour on Fine-art.education is never shared with advertising companies such as Google analytics.

Protect your information

Personal data and submitted files are never transferred to a country outside the EU / EEA. The Fine-art.education server is connected to reliable, redundant infrastructure and is located in a managed European datacenter. Backups of the entire database are done daily and the security copies of the backup are stored separately from the main data center on Amazon’s European servers.

To protect your information Fine-art.education uses the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) industry standard, the highest level of security available today for web-secured applications. We use TLS with up to 256 AES encryption as supported by the client. All backups are encrypted. Passwords are never stored as clear text. They are always hashed and salted securely. Registered users at Fine-art.education can enable Two-factor authentication (2FA), often referred to as two-step verification, which is a security process in which the user provides two authentication factors to verify they are who they say they are.

Fine-art.education uses Stripe as payment processor for online payments. All sensitive information like credit card numbers and other account information is securely transmitted directly to Stripe’s servers. Nobody at Fine-art.education can store or access sensitive payment information. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available.

Fine-art.education accounts require a username and password to log in. You must keep your username and password secure. Because your potentially personally-identifying is so sensitive, account passwords are encrypted, which means we can’t see your passwords. We can’t resend forgotten passwords either. We’ll only reset them.
